Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, BioWare, una divisione di Electronic Arts, ha annunciato ufficialmente il game Mass Effect 2, seguito di quel Mass Effect (cfr. gli screenshot che seguono) che, rilasciato nel 2007, ha conquistato rapidamente una notevole schiera di estimatori, non soltanto tra gli utenti finali ma anche tra gli stessi addetti ai lavori, per la qualità del gameplay e del dettaglio grafico offerto.
Mass Effect 2, che è tecnicamente un "RPG-shooter", sarà pubblicato da BioWare nella prima parte del prossimo anno, in due distinte edizioni dedicate rispettivamente alle piattaforme PC e Xbox 360.
