A confermarlo è la stessa NVIDIA che ha inviato ai suoi partner, produttori di schede grafiche, un comunicato che recita come segue:
"GeForce GTS 250 carries over the same specs and features of 9800 GTX+, and hence the same GPU, memory, board, PCB, and thermal solution. AIC’s should be confident in purchasing GPU’s, PCB’s, and other materials, since the only change is a new VBIOS to implement the new branding."
In soldoni, le nuove GTS 250 differiscono dalle 9800 GTX+ per il solo bios; quest'ultimo, a sua volta, ha come novità il renaming dell'hardware al quale è abbinato.
Oltre alla GeForce GTS 250, al CeBit il chip maker statunitense presenterà anche la GeForce GTS 240; anche in questo caso si tratta, però, di un prodotto già sul mercato, con la sigla di GeForce 9800 GT.
