Con il comunicato stampa allegato di seguito ASUS ha lanciato la motherboard Striker II Formula, nuova soluzione - progettata ed ottimizzata per il gaming high-end - appartenente alla ben nota linea Republic of Gamers (ROG). ASUS ha scelto NVIDIA come partner principale per la realizzazione di questa scheda madre: č infatti prodotto dal chip-maker statunitense il chip-set - o MCP (Media Communications Processor) - nForce 780i SLI intorno al quale ruota la Striker II Formula.
Il chip nForce 780i SLI č dotato di supporto per i processori Intel Core 2, ed č giā pronto per l'utilizzo con i prossimi processori di Intel a 45nm, caratterizzati da un valore per il FSB pari a 1600MHz e oltre. Inoltre, rende possibile l'implementazione di topologie multi-gpu a tre vie, ovvero č compatibile con la tecnologia 3-way SLI di NVIDIA.
