NEC Display ha ampliato il catalogo dei monitor per il mercato business con un nuovo modello nell'ambito della linea MultiSync. La device di output è siglata MultiSync E171M ed è basata su un pannello TN da 17-inch, illuminato con l'ausilio della consolidata tecnologia LED-backlight.

Indirizzato al segmento entry-level in ambito aziendale, il monitor MultiSync E171M è in grado di lavorare con una risoluzione video pari a 1280 x 1024 pixel, assicurando un tempo di risposta pari a 5ms, un rapporto di contrasto pari a 1000:1 e una luminosità pari a 250cd/m2.

NEC fa sapere che, in virtù della dotazione della tecnologia Intelligent Power Manager (IPM), il nuovo MultiSync E171M assicura la minimizzazione del consumo enrgetico, un aspetto, questo, a cui contribuisce anche la modalità ECO, in corrispondenza della quale l'utente può adeguare la configurazione dei parametri operativi, come la luminosità, alla necessità di ridurre il consumo di potenza.

Il MultiSync E171M di NEC include due altoparlanti da 1W in configurazione stereo, mentre il kit di connettori di uscita è composto da una porta DVI-D e una D-Sub. Il prezzo indicato dal produttore per il mercato statunitese è pari a $179.

NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, announced today the 17-inch LED-backlit MultiSync E171M display, a desktop monitor designed for cost and environmentally conscious business customers.

The Energy Star 6.0-compliant MultiSync E171M gives users a tool to help them enhance their productivity.  The multimedia display includes 50mm height adjustment and tilt capability for improved comfort.

This MultiSync E171M also comes with ECO Mode, which allows users to quickly adjust their brightness setting, thus saving power and reducing energy costs.

"The E171M display raises the standard for 'green' computing," said Kevin Christopherson, Director of Product Marketing for Desktop Displays at NEC Display Solutions. "There is still significant customer demand for a feature-rich, 17-inch, 5:4 display in the market; the MultiSync E171M fills this demand."

Besides the LED backlight, users also have the ability to track their carbon footprint savings with the MultiSync E171M's carbon footprint meter, a unique tool that calculates the reduction of green gas emissions. An Intelligent Power Manager (IPM) tool, meanwhile, helps conserve energy and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by switching to a low power state, or automatically powering down when the monitor is on but not in use.

The MultiSync E171M includes the following features:
