TUL ha annunciato la prima soluzione PCS+ nell'ambito della serie R di schede grafiche AMD-based. Denominata PowerColor PCS+ R9 270X, la nuova video card è quindi un prodotto factory-overclocked, la cui frequenza di base è pari a 1060MHz, ed è dunque più elevata di 60MHz rispetto al corrispondente valore reference, mentre quella massima di boost è pari a 1100MHz.

Il frame buffer della PowerColor PCS+ R9 270X è realizzato con 2GB di RAM G-DDR5 e opera a 1425MHz (o 5.7Gbps), mentre l'interfaccia che ne implementa il collegamento con la gpu è a 256-bit. La stabilità della card è ottenuta con l'ausilio di uno stadio di alimentazione e di un cooler sovradimensionati.

Il primo è basato sul kit di componenti chiamato Gold Power dal produttore, che include un PWM digitale e un design multi-fase, mentre il cooler utilizza due ventole da 90mm, tre heat-pipe e un ampio basamento in rame (la sua efficienza di raffreddamento è superiore del 16% rispetto a quella del sistema di raffreddamento reference).

Il set di connettori di uscita della PowerColor PCS+ R9 270X è composto da una porta DVI-D, una DVI-I, una HDMI e una DP.

The exclusive PCS+ cooling design is formed with 90 mm ultra huge dual fan, 3pcs of large heat pipes, enormous surface of cooling fin and pure copper base, delivering 16% cooler than reference design. What's more, we adopts the patent Double Blades fan design at PCS+ R9 270X, successfully increase 20% more airflow, even prevent the dust depositing at the bearings and the bottom of fan, prolonging the life cycle of the thermal as well as video card.

First Support at PCS+ R9 270X, the Turbo Timer (Optional Choice)
Turbo Timer is a device designed to keep the graphics card cooler running for a pre-specified period after the PC powered off. By keeping the fan running for a pre-specified period after the PC powered off, the Turbo Timer can efficiently carry away excessive heat from GPU, memory, and other key components. It will prolong the lifespan of the graphics card. This device is available for PowerColor graphics cards which support Turbo Timer.
