Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, ViewSonic ha annunciato la disponibilità, per ora estesa al solo mercato nordamericano, del tablet ViewPad 10, una device, equipaggiata con un display da 10.1-inch, che si fa notare immediatamente per la sua natura di sistema dual-boot. Il produttore, infatti, ha configurato il tablet con i Sistemi Operativi Android 1.6 di Google e Windows 7 (Home Premium o Professional) di Microsoft.

Tra le specifiche del ViewPad 10 spicca la dotazione della cpu Intel Atom a 1.66GHz e di 2GB di RAM; il display, inoltre, è realizzato con la tecnolgia LED backlight ed offre la funzionalità multi-touch di tipo capacitivo. La risoluzione del video è pari a 1024x600. ViewPad 10 è naturalmente pronto per l'accesso in rete mediante le connettività Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, mentre lo scambio dei dati con le altre device è eseguibile anche con Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR.

La memoria di massa del sistema, la cui capacità massima è pari a 32GB, è implementata con drive a stato solido; in accordo al produttore, il ViewPad 10 con Android 1.6, Windows 7 Home Premium e un SSD da 16Gb ha un ESP (Estimated Street Price) pari a $599; la variante con Android 1.6, un SSD da 32GB e Windows 7 Professional ha invece un ESP pari a $679.
