Dopo il successo di vendite riscontrato con il suo PC all-in-one VPC100, ViewSonic, ben noto maker di monitor di alta qualità, ha annunciato il mini PC siglato VOT132. Il produttore mette in risalto innanzitutto le doti di carattere "ecologico" che fanno del nuovo mini una soluzione capace di ridurre fino all'80% il consumo di potenza e fino al 40% l'utilizzo di plastica per la sua realizzazione.

Il mini PC VOT132 è equipaggiato, dal punto di vista software, con il nuovo Sistema Operativo Windows 7 Home Premium di Microsoft mentre la configurazione hardware è basata sulla cpu dual-core Intel Atom 330 e su 2GB di RAM; su richiesta questo computer può essere assemblato facendo ricorso ad una motherboard costruita con l'ausilio della tecnologia ION di NVIDIA. In tal caso il maker assicura una resa notevole con il playback in Full HD a 1080p.

Il mini PC VOT132 è sul mercato da ieri, 22 Ottobre, allorquando è stato lanciato Windows 7; il nettop di ViewSonic ha un MSRP pari a $499 mentre il Super Multi drive VDD100, un accessorio esterno che aggiunge al nettop la possibilità di leggere e scrivere sui supporti DVD e CD dai formati più disparati, costa ufficialmente $99.
