Mediante il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, Sparkle ha presentato al grande pubblico la scheda grafica Calibre P888+: la nuova soluzione del costruttore taiwanense è basata sulla gpu GeForce 8800 GT, realizzata attraverso un processo produttivo in tecnologia a 65nm, alla quale sono stati abbinati 512Mb di RAM G-DDR3.

Forte di un sistema di raffreddamento più efficiente di quello tipico delle GeForce 8800 GT pienamente aderenti al design reference indicato da NVIDIA, la Calibre P888+ può vantare valori più elevati della frequenza di clock del processore grafico e della memoria on board, che operano rispettivamente a 675MHz e 2000MHz.

A caratterizzare fortemente questa video card è però la scheda aggiuntiva aka Graphics Display Port di seconda generazione o GDP2 che, facendo uso di un display LCD, è in grado di mostrare l'evoluzione in tempo reale di alcune fondamentali grandezze alla base del funzionamento dell'hardware, come la temperatura e la tensione della gpu, e la velocità della ventola.

So combining with 1728MHz 112 stream processors which take care of shader special effects, the Calibre P888+ Graphics Card introduces lifelike character animation and rich, immersive gaming environments for today's DirectX 9 and DirectX 10 demanding 3D games, suck as BIOSHOCK, Crysis and so on.
